I'm a new regular. I tried all the Vietnamese restaurants in the neighbourhood and this is the best one. The pho and the steamed rice rolls with meat is yummy. I absolutely loved it even in this heat--that's how great it is. Service is quick, it's affordable and family-run. Support local :)
01 Jan. 2025 You know when you dream about wonderful food and sometimes it's not as good the second time around? Well, this was not the case with Que Ling. It was super delicious once again when we returned a few days later. Went back because I kept dreaming about that rich pho broth, which is life changing. This time we showed some restraint and managed to snap a pic of #1 Vietnamese Steamed Rice Rolls with Meat before we dug in. Ordered as well: #9 Rare Beef & Tendon Rice Noodle Soup #25 BBQ Meat, BBQ Pork Sausage & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli #4 Pickled Lime on Ice Portions are generous. All ingredients are fresh and dishes are flavourful. Service is fast. Meal with tax and tip was under 55. They have limited seating, so, no lingering after the meal. There is patio seating in warmer weather. They have a lot of take-out orders. Love this place! What a great start to the new year. --- 26 Dec. 2024 Homemade Vietnamese food is like a warm hug on this cold Boxing Day 2024. Went there for lunch today and the place started to fill up quickly. It is not a large place but who cares. The food is amazing! We ordered: #1 Vietnamese Steamed Rice Rolls with Meat #3 Que Ling Special Rice Noodle Soup #25 BBQ Meat, BBQ Pork Sausage & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli #1 Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Condensed milk And, because we are porky piggies, we saw a photo on the wall of a bao filled with pork & a boiled egg, so, we ordered it. It was bigger than our face and delicious. Every dish - yes, every dish - was fresh as hell and delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Shout-out to Angel who works hard to make this family business a success. Cash only. Lunch for 2 (with enough food to feed more) was 60 with tax and tip. Bargoon! We'll be back!
My absolute favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto!!! Having been to so many places for pho, this is definitely on the top of my list. The homemade spicy sauce is SO GOOD and you can’t go wrong with any of their dishes. Strongly recommend you try their spring rolls and rice rolls.
Hands down the best Pho is the east side. Diner vibes, amazing spring rolls and coffee is strong and hot!
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant, it is small but has a lot of character in the space and feels like it belongs in a movie. Very intimate which is fun. Got the pho and bun bo hue, both of the meats in the soup were excellent and tender with just so much flavor and fat. I have been to other places where they provide less meat for the same price. Also their spring rolls were quite excellent. They are cash only, and a bit slower on service sometimes but would go again.
This hidden gem is tucked away just off Gerrard in Old Chinatown is a must-visit. As you step through the meat-locker-style entrance, you might be caught off guard by its unassuming, hole-in-the-wall appearance. But the moment you walk through the actual front door, you're met with a warm family welcome. The menu is small but well-curated, featuring all the Vietnamese staples. The Bun Rieu and Bun Bo Hue were fresh and bursting with flavor, while the Banh Cuon was perfectly warm and melt-in-your-mouth soft. One of the best things about this spot? They open early—9 AM every day (except Tuesdays)—so if you're craving Vietnamese cuisine for breakfast, you don’t have to wait until the usual 11 or 12 like most spots.
Very nice Vietnamese restaurant with great service and delicious food. Had the Pho Dac Biet and the broth was very flavourful and the meat and noodles were well balanced. Will definitely come back whenever Im in the area and highly recommended for anyone to try out.
The food was really tasty and fresh! I loved the flavors and the portions were just right. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. The place is small but cozy, it feels like a hidden gem. I always come back because it’s just that good. Great value for the price!
